Texas Music Lovers Itinerary

No matter your taste in tunes, you’ll have fun seeking out these vibrant musical experiences.

From Country to Salsa, Pop to Classical, or even Texas-born rock ‘n roll, this itinerary is flexible and can easily be changed to suit your tastes.

Day 1 – Art and the Symphony

Start your afternoon with a walk through the outdoor sculpture garden at the Irving Arts Center.  Home to several permanent and temporary installations, you’ll find something new at every turn. With its winding walkway, luscious gardens and calming water features, the sculpture will awaken the senses.  Then hop inside and view the art gallery.  Exhibits vary widely and rotate throughout the year, so you’ll be sure to see something that catches your eye.  Also home to two fully-equipped theaters that feature more than 200 performances annually, the Irving Arts Center works with eleven Founding Organizations representing symphonies, cultural groups, choruses, theater and ballet, offering guests a wide variety of performances. Visit the website to catch the next performance.

Day 2 – Total Country Immersion

Texas is known for its cowboys, horses, and everything big, so you wouldn’t want to miss having your photo taken in front of the Mustangs of Las Colinas sculpture, one of the world’s largest equestrian sculptures, plus a great backdrop for souvenir group pictures.  While you’re there you can stop in the Mustang Museum to see and hear how the statues were made. Then it's off to The Ranch at Las Colinas, sampling their seafood from the Gulf of Mexico, Texas Kobe beef from the southern plains, quail from Bandera, and locally-sourced vegetables. Here you can catch intimate performances by up and coming Texas musicians and bands in the Pavilion section of the restaurant on the weekends.

Day 3 – The Toyota Music Factory

Irving’s newest dining and entertainment center, the Toyota Music Factory, invites you to experience The Pavilion, an 8,000 capacity concert venue, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. Catch a wide variety of great performances like ZZ Top, Dave Chappelle, Ringo Starr, Post Malone and Alice in Chains, to name a few.  Be sure to visit the Live Nation website for the latest performance schedule.  Now, before the concert, you need to grab a bite to eat . . . but you can do that at over 20 themed restaurants and pubs there in the Music Factory.  With everything it has to offer, the Toyota Music Factory is big part of your entertainment destination.
